On 20 September, a performance by the world-renowned Japanese drumming group Ondekoza, organised by the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with Japan Tobacco International, took place in the square in front of Sarajevo City Hall.

Prior to the performance, Ambassador Kinefuchi thanked JTI for helping to realize the first performance in Sarajevo in eight years and said that taiko drumming brings captivating, powerful, dynamic and resonant performance to the heart of Sarajevo. Despite the unfavorable weather conditions, many people came to the venue and were fascinated by the powerful Ondekoza performance, which was met with a great applause.

On the following day, a lecture and workshop on Wa-Daiko (Japanese drums) and Shamisen (Japanese guitar) by Ondekoza and Shamisen player YUZU was held at the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo. Participants enjoyed the workshop by singing Japanese songs together and playing the taiko drums.
