Signing ceremony of Joint Declaration on establishing diplomatic relations between BiH and Ghana has been signed in the premises of BiH Permanent Mission to UN in New York.

On the behalf of BiH, permanent representative of BiH in the UN ambassador Mirsada Čolaković signed the declaration, while ambassador of Ghana Ken Kanda signed on the behalf of Ghana.

Čolaković and Kanda exchanged their opinion on potentials for improvement and intensification of bilateral cooperation between BiH and Ghana, and they stated that bilateral visits would benefit both countries.

They also noted that good relations between two countries existed before the signing of Joint Declaration on Establishing Diplomatic Relations which was shown by Ghana’s support to BiH in its candidacy to the UN Security Council and giving BiH observer status at the International Organisation of Francophonie, while BiH supported Ghana to be the member of the UN Commission of Civil Protection.
