Kangaroos, guanacos, alpacas and maras coming to Pionirska dolina

pionirska 8Sarajevo zoo ‘Pionirska Dolina’ will soon get 13 new animals, and the public utility company Park confirmed that two companies have donated money to purchase female kangaroos, reports Oslobođenje.

Veterinarian Vedad Škapur said that the animals should arrive to Pionirska Dolina in the next few days.

Pionirska dolina will also be richer for three more animal species, guanaco, alpaca and mara, with 13 new animals to arrive, and Škapur added that with those animals that citizens of Sarajevo will have the opportunity to see the animal life of South America.

He said that the zoo will also purchase lioness, so that the lion wouldn’t be alone.

Pionirska Dolina is very popular among citizens of Sarajevo because of it beautiful environment, zoo  and playground for children, and animals such as bears, lamas, wallabies, monkeys, etc.
