The B&H food industry Klas JSC Sarajevo, together with its subcontractors, promoted yesterday the new Klas brand “Frozen Fruit” – raspberries, blackberries, cherries, strawberries and wild blueberries in the packages containing 350 grams.
By placing the frozen fruit, Klas enriched its offer of deep frozen products and added a new value to raspberries which this food industry has been exporting to the market of the EU for years now.
“This is our support to the development of domestic agriculture in a way that we give a new value to a 100% made in B&H product through professional and financial support for growing, processing, packaging and placement of the brand on the shelves of domestic and foreign retail chains. Raspberries are from B&H plantations, industrial processing is conducted in B&H plants, the packaging is from the B&H suppliers and marketing is also from B&H. The new Klas product ‘Frozen Fruit’ is an example of how the entire food industry can develop, from primary production which has financial and professional support from large systems as ours is, through processing, to the placement of strong brands on domestic and foreign markets,” said Rusmir Hrvić, the president of AS GROUP and director of Klas JSC Sarajevo.
Last year Klas had around 800 subcontractors-producers of berries, and this year the company intends to establish cooperation with 1,500 producers and buy and process around 2,500 tons of raspberries and other berries.
