Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the 20th anniversary of the 2nd Infantry (Ranger) Regiment.

“The date of April 15, 1992, is certainly one of the most significant in the modern history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As everyone knows, on this date, by the decision of the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Army of the Republic of BiH was formed. Today, when we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of its establishment, we must remember its honorable struggle for justice, freedom and dignity of all citizens of our homeland, and its heroic fighters who showed iron will, courage and humanity,” emphasized Komšić.

It is our duty, he added, to preserve the memory of their victims and to continue building Bosnia and Herzegovina as a country of justice.

“Let us never forget the superhuman efforts that the fighters of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina have woven into the fabric of our state. Let us never forget to whom we owe our present freedom. I would like to congratulate all former members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all those who respect its universal values on the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the 20th anniversary of the formation of the 2nd Infantry (Ranger) Regiment of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Long live our one and only homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina!,” Komšić stated in his congratulatory message, the Public Relations Service of the Presidency of BiH announced.
