Konakovic criticized BiH FM using the Example of a Hijab

Elmedin Konakovic (Narod i Pravda NiP – People and Justice) recently told a public meeting, as he said, an anecdote about the head of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)’s diplomacy BiseraTurkovic (SDA), after which he received a number of criticisms on social networks. Now he spoke again and tried to explain the situation.

“There is an anecdote, I have to tell it, maybe someone will be angry. Our minister of foreign affairs spent more time with hijabthan without it,” said Konakovic, probably alluding to the fact that she visited more eastern countries than western ones.

With these words, Konakovic wanted to criticize the minister because he believes that she has visited too many Asian, mostly Islamic countries, instead of Western ones, and that she abuses the importance of the hijab in religion for political purposes.

Because of the bad joke or anecdote, Konakovic encountered numerous negative reactions, which is why he decided to poston his Facebook profile. He believes that certain high officials of the SDA desecrate religion and interpret religious regulations in their own way.

“On the third day, they convince us that the hijab is a branded headscarf that is used to cover the head during meetings, when the protocol dictates it. Ready to desecrate the faith whenever a foreigner needs it, they interpret the regulations in their own way. The way they interpreted that it can be stolen from the state coffers, and then donate part of that money to the construction of a religious building or give charity to the poor. The way they interpret it is that employing an unskilled family member in the public sector is strengthening and preserving family ties. During their religious education, they read some pages that the rest of us didn’t. They have that strange party bias the concept of faith,” he wrote.

Also, he added that he was taught that a believer cannot be a liar.

“He can be a coward, even a miser, but not a liar. They have their own addition: “unless the party asks you to”. They frantically lie, lie, cheat. That’s why this example in which they present the headscarf as a hijab is important. Let’s prove once and for all what this party is doing, what they are willing to do to stay in power. Hijab is a religious obligation, hijab is a way of life, protection of natural beauty, protection of honor. It is not hijab protocol. It is stolen haram and cannot be “cleansed” with sadaqa not even with a donation. Hiring family members is a sin, if there are better ones for those positions in the community. Lying is forbidden, the party cannot save you from punishment for lying,” believes the NiP leader.

He also says that Minister Turkovic is one of the nicest people from the SDA and that he has nothing personally against her.

“I praised her a few days ago for opening the consulate in Sandzak. She honestly admitted several times the things that the SDA is hiding, such as the fact that we are far from NATO and that instead of the accession commission we have a commission for cooperation with NATO,” he added.

At the end of his story about the headscarf and hijab, Konakovicalso touched on the wife of SDA president Sebija Izetbegovic.

“Next time, before you start teaching me the rules of our beautiful religion, explain to the wife of the president of the SDA that you should not enter the mosque without a headscarf. Instead of anger, I am asking the Lord to help you, to heal you of those sick desires for power, to remove from your hearts malice and arrogance, so you could be better people and that Lord forgives you attacks on the honor and reputation of believers who are not members of your party.”, Klix.ba writes.
