Kosarac: There is no Readiness of Croatia to try to find the best Solution regarding Trgovska Gora

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Stasa Kosarac, believes that there is no readiness in Croatia to discuss the matter of the nuclear waste disposal site at Trgovska Gora in an argumentative manner and to try to find the best solution.

After Tuesday’s joint session of the Government of Croatia and the Council of Ministers of BiH, Kosarac stated that the very situation regarding the inclusion of the item on Trgovska Gora on the agenda of the joint session showed the mood in Croatia, and reminded that he did not want to attend the joint session unless it was on the agenda a special point about Trgovska Gora.

“I appreciate that it is important to talk about the positions coming from the Republika Srpska (RS) and the Federation of BiH (FBiH), that is, that it is unacceptable to build a landfill in that location,” Kosarac confirmed for agency Fena.

He emphasized that this is a very important issue because it is about protecting the health and lives of 250 thousand people from the RS and FBiH, and that they are still looking for engagement in terms of finding a third location. He repeated that the Expert and Legal Team is not satisfied with the current flow of information with the Croatian side.

“I want to remind you that Slovenia supports our efforts, as does Hungary, and we will intensify this type of contact in order to get the support of other European Union (EU) member countries,” Kosarac added.
