Lendo: Due to the irresponsible Government, the Citizens were left without more than Two Billion BAM

The Vice-President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Refik Lendo (SDA) says that he received the official statement of the EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a feeling of regret because the ruling coalition (Three-HDZ-SNSD) did not submit a complete and agreed Reform Program.

“According to his words, the submission of the non-harmonized Reform Program on the one hand has a financial consequence, which is reflected in the fact that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be the only ones in the region to be deprived of an amount greater than 140 million BAM, and probably as much as two billion BAM. On the other hand , with irresponsible behavior, the government caused incalculable damage to the reputation of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the institutions of the European Union,” he said.

As he says, the political and general public did not remain indifferent to the announcements that more than two billion BAM will be paid from European Union funds in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but in order for the payment to go through, the government assured, it is necessary to first adopt the Law on the Budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“However, the government agreed, and the structure of the adopted budget according to the needs of the SNSD reflects the relationship of political forces within the state coalition. It remains regrettable that as a result of the inaction of the irresponsible government, an opportunity will be missed for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, this is also a strong message from the institutions of the European Union, that the fulfillment of legal obligations such as the adoption of the Budget will not be treated as a success, and that bad compromises for the sake of elections and appointments will not be allowed to be compensated with European Union funds without substantial progress,” says Lendo, Fena news agency writes.
