Lowered Water Level in Lake Rama revealed the Former Fields and Orchards

Rama Lake2Unusual scenes emerged from the water depth of Rama Lake, whose level is extremely low this winter season.

In places that are normally covered by water appeared remains of old trees and orchards.

Rama Lake is artificial water accumulation that was made back in 1968. The river bed was reconstructed with 100 meters high dam in the upper stream, below the village Mlusa.

With the accumulation of lake was flooded a total of 15.5 square kilometers of land, 1,147 various facilities and evicted 283 households with 1,744 residents.

Rama River is very cold, only 7.5 °C on its spring, but Rama Lake never completely froze.

Photos that were released by portal Rama-prozor.info show the surface of the lake, which used to be the arable land, fields, and meadows with plenty of clay.
