Malik Isabegović won the first place at the world competition in France

MalikMalik Isabegović, a twelve years old boy from Tuzla, a third grade student of Elementary music school, won the first place at the world competition in France.

Vatelot Rampal contests gathered representatives from all around the world, was held in Paris and lasted three days.

“Isabegović won the award in the category up to 12 years, and was invited to perform in May at a concert in Paris, where the best representatives of their categories in the competition will perform,” said Jasmina Šehanović, a teacher in whose class Isabegović is a student.

Šehanović points out that they were preparing for the competition two months and that this award is very important for elementary music school in Tuzla, but also for the city of Tuzla and BiH.

“I am very happy about Malik, because he really put a lot of effort for this prestigious competition,” she says.

Director of Elementary music school in Tuzla Nedim Suljic said that this is one of the biggest results achieved for this school, stating that the prestigious competition Vatelot Rampal is one of the most famous in the world.

Student Malik Isabegović is the only representative of BiH on the competition, and he performed with the composition Melancholy, composed by César Franck.
