How many Cars were imported in BiH in 2016?

cars importAccording to the data of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, since the beginning of the year until the end of October, in our country was imported a total of 57,177 used and new cars, and most of imports came from Germany and France.

From the total number of imported cars, 48 176 of them were used cars, and 9001 were new cars. A significant increase was noted in imports of new cars, in comparison to 2015 when only 6,300 new cars were imported.

After the decision of the Council of Ministers of BiH from the 1st of April this year, to BiH is possible to import car with a minimum of Euro 4 engine, which undoubtedly contributed to the increase in the number of new cars that were imported during 2016.

The value of new and used cars that were imported in BiH is higher than 68 million BAM, and the state earned more than 14 million BAM through taxes.

From the ITA emphasized that most of cars were imported from Germany, France, Czech Republic, Japan and Sweden.

The most expensive car that was imported is Mercedes (Type GLE 63 S / AMG, gasoline), which was paid 235,000 BAM, and tax duties for this car amounted to 81,000 BAM. On the second and third place of the most expensive cars that were imported in BiH in 2016 are also Mercedes vehicles.

A spokesman of the Indirect Taxation Authority, Ratko Kovacevic, said that more cars were imported in 2016 in comparison to previous years, and that therefore the state collected higher taxes.
