Benjamina Karic, the Mayor of Sarajevo, spoke on the occasion of the adoption of the Resolution on Srebrenica in the Parliament of Montenegro and said that by voting for such a document, Montenegro has shown its commitment to truth and justice.

The mayor of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) pointed out that the decision of the Parliament of Montenegro is significant for that country, and BiH and the entire region as well.

“The Parliament of Montenegro has made a decision. For BiH, for the entire region. It has adopted the Resolution on Srebrenica, calling the genocide by its real name,” told Karic.

As she emphasized, with this move, Montenegro has shown its commitment to the fight against the denial of genocide that happened in BiH.

“By this act, Montenegro showed and proved its readiness to be an active participant in the world peace movement, commitment to truth and justice, commitment to the fight against the denial of genocide and war crimes that took place in BiH. Truth and justice are necessary for reconciliation, restoration of trust, and the secure future of our region, ” Benjamina Karic said, Klix.ba writes.
