‘Medo’ the dog was a Symbol and the most beloved being in Sarajevo

The residents of the Sarajevo settlement Grbavica were recently saddened by the news that the street dog Medo, which was a kind of symbol of this part of the city, was run over.

Namely, Medo was the recognizable face of Grbavica for 14 years, and this street dog was loved and looked after in the whole neighborhood. Although he was already quite old and everyone expected that he might die soon, many were saddened by the news that he died because of a careless driver who ran over him.

Although the citizens immediately organized themselves and took him to the vet, Medo died because his spine was broken. On social networks, many are saying goodbye to the dog, who they say was “the most loved being in Grbavica”.

Considering that it was a street dog, many people in the neighborhood took care of it together, so it had a place to sleep on winter nights, one of the neighbors walked it every day, and it had a special place in the Papagaj cafe.

The owner of this cafe was the organizer of collecting money when Medo needed a haircut and for veterinary expenses.

Even though Medo was a street dog, he was actually owned by the entire neighborhood, and they point out that he left a mark and will be missed by many, Klix.ba writes.
