12476640_1133269206724034_1996957892_oChairman of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović and member of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović hosted yesterday the Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy & Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn.

It was jointly assessed that BiH has achieved a visible progress in the past year in terms of the new approach by the European Union and that it is back on the EU path after a perennial halt, which is also confirmed with the submission of application for membership in the EU.

Members of the Presidency of BiH expressed gratitude to the Commissioner Hahn for the support he is providing for BiH in the process of EU integration and again highlighted the commitment of the Presidency of BiH to the continuation of stabilizing circumstances and accelerating the launched reforms in BiH. Members of the BiH Presidency also presented to the Commissioner Hahn the Master Plan of the process of BiH integration into the EU, with the end goal of BiH obtaining the candidate status for membership in the EU by the end of 2017.

The Commissioner Hahn praised the efforts and commitment of the BiH authorities on the EU path and pointed out the importance of the continuation of implementation of reform measures in order for BiH to continue progressing on that path.

The counterparts agreed that it is necessary to maintain the positive momentum and continue with implementation of measures from the Reform Agenda, as well as to provide the enlivening of the coordination mechanism, the adaptation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement and the announcement of population census results.

On behalf of the member of the Presidency of BiH from Republika Srpska, Mladen Ivanić, the meeting was attended by the advisor Zoran Đerić.
