Member of the BiH Presidency and President of the Democratic Front Željko Komšić sent a congratulatory message to all Bosnians and Herzegovinans on the occasion of the celebration of April 15 – Army Day of the RBiH.

“The Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the MUP of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the only legal and legitimate military and police formations that defended the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are the most responsible for the survival of our country, said Komšić on the occasion of April 15, Army of RBiH.

Komšić is the holder of the highest war decoration “Golden Lily”.

“Although it was faced with a double aggressor against the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, although it was also faced with betrayal by the so-called autonomy, although it was faced with an embargo on the import of weapons, the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina found the strength to defend the most vital parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to wage a war of liberation as a result of which the enemy was forced to sign peace terms that confirm what they intended to erase, terms that confirm the internationally recognized borders of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Komšić.

He added that increased vigilance is still needed and should not be brought into a situation where BiH would be called into question.

“In the peace agreement, the aggressor undertook not to undertake any actions to violate the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Today, almost thirty years after the end of the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, we are obliged to monitor what was signed in this regard, as we are, bearing in mind the experience and everything that is happening in the region and the world, we must not believe that the attempts to destroy Bosnia and Herzegovina are over in which Bosnia and Herzegovina as a state would again be called into question,” said Komšić.

In the end, he said that he still believes in the readiness of patriots to fight for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“I have no doubts about the love for the homeland and the willingness to fight for it by all means, just as I did not doubt it in 1992, when we faced a much more armed enemy almost unarmed. I wish all members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina a happy April 15th Army of the Republic Day Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Komšić at the end.
