The Registrar for the Court of BiH, Emira Hodžić, has participated in the conference on the topic of “Shared responsibility in the application of the European Convention on Human Rights: the use of (new) judicial instruments in facing challenges” organized by the Council of Europe in the framework of the project entitled “The Initiative for Legal Certainty and Efficient Judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

In the framework of the two-day conference held in Sarajevo on 24 and 25 October 2019, the participants focused their attention to judicial tools for the application of the European Convention on Human Rights and discussed their experiences and challenges in the Council of Europe member states.

The participants also talked about the Superior Courts Network and the exchange of knowledge on the European Convention on Human Rights and on equal access to case law databases so as to offer support for a more consistent application of case law in Bosnia and Herzegovina, noting that consistent application is necessary in order to secure legal certainty and improve the judiciary.
