Members of the Border Police saved a Man

PADAVINE I NAREDNIH DANA, JUÈER MAKSIMUM VODOSTAJA MILJACKEToday at 13:40 o’clock, members of the Border Police Unit Gradiska were informed that an individual was drowning in the Sava river.

Under the bridge, a man was in the cold water trying to catch floating pieces of trees. In the shortest possible time, around 5 to 6 minutes, members of the Border Police came to the man and pulled him from the water.

At the same time another group of officers arrived on the bridge and alerted the ambulance. A drowning man was given first aid on the coast after which he was taken to the medical center Gradiska.

Citizens who were present at the scene rewarded officers with an applause and a director of Border Police Zoran Galic announced the award for police officers stressing that their quick and professional reaction saved human life.
