Memorial Center in Potočari Visited by More Than 35.000 People Last year

MEMORIJALNI CENTAR U POTOÈARIMA PROŠLE GODINE POSJETILO VIŠE OD 35.000 POSJETILACAMemorial center in Potočari was visited by 35.510 visitors last year, and 9.961 were strangers, said for Rena the Director of Memorial Center Mersed Smajlović.

He points our that the construction of a complex, where Memorial center will be located, documentation center, a library, a room for audio and video-projections, a room for meetings and socializing, a memorial exhibition room and a room for religious contents is planned for the the upcoming period.

“We are currently working on a multimedia room in cooperation with Mirko Klarin from the Agency Sense, which will donate all the audio and video materials. The next project will be implemented step by step, depending on the donors. Donor funding for the memorial complex are paid in the account of the Central Bank of B&H”, said Smajlović.

He said that until now in Memorial complex in Potočari 6.066 victims of genocide are buried, while 188 victims are buried in other locations.
