meeting MexicansFor the first time in the history, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) hosted representatives of businesses and the Ambassador of Mexico, who attended the business meeting on the topic “The possibility of business cooperation between Mexico and BiH.”

This is one of the ways in which FIPA wants to attract investments in BiH, and businessmen and Ambassador of Mexico were informed during this meeting about the possibilities of the economy and the markets in our country.

On this occasion, representatives of the FIPA and the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH informed their guests about the possibilities for investing in BiH, with a special emphasis on the automotive industry, metal sector, agriculture, sector of energy and IT, as well as exports from BiH and the current foreign trade exchange between Mexico and BiH.

Ambassador of Mexico in Serbia and BiH, Marko Antonio Garcia Blanco, presented some basic information about Mexico, noting that this country is the 14th economy in the world with almost two million square meters and 129 million citizens. They recorded revenue of foreign investment in the amount of 92.7 billion USD in the period from 2014 until 2016.

When it comes to BiH, they are looking to find local partners for production of car parts.

On this occasion, the Foreign Trade Chamber and the Committee of entrepreneurs Mexico-BiH COMCE signed the Memorandum on cooperation. It was agreed that FIPA and ProMexico (the Agency for Foreign Investment Mexico) will also sign the Memorandum on cooperation after the established procedures are implemented.
