At the Main Training Ground of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Manjaca, a seven-day exercise called “Dynamic Response ’23” ended today. The participants of the exercise were evaluated by certified evaluators according to the NATO concept.

For the capabilities demonstrated during the exercise, the units of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the 5th and 6th Infantry Brigades, which were supported by elements of combat support units, received the highest marks.

The “Dynamic Response ’23” exercise is a continuation of building the interoperability of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the NATO concept of conducting exercises.

Brigadier Emir Kliko, Commander of the 5th Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina:

“Training and training is imperative for all units of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the 5th Infantry Brigade. This exercise “Dynamic response” is in fact the main exercise where we check our level of training and readiness for the implementation of the tasks arising from the mission of our brigade.”

Brigadier Anto Klaic, Chief of Staff of the 6th Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina:

“An additional challenge, which started this year, is the evaluation based on the concept of operational capabilities, which is normally used to evaluate declared units. Just to explain to you why it is a challenge. It is a concept that lasts for three years in order for the unit to receive the status of training. But, we in the army love challenges and I believe we will overcome this too.”

The commander of EUFOR, Major General Helmut Habermeyer, said that he was impressed by what he saw and what the units of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina showed at the training ground. He also announced a joint exercise.

Major General Helmut Habermayer, Commander of EUFOR:

“I must say that I was very impressed by what I saw. Especially when we talk about the synchronization between elements of the ground forces, air forces and artillery support. I hope that next year we, together with the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will participate with our forces from EUFOR in an exercise like this.”

The “Dynamic Response ’23” exercise at the Manjača training ground was also attended by the Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brigadier General Pamela McGaha, who, as shown today, also praised the units of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, she said, are not behind the NATO forces at all.
