Milorad Dodik: Bosniak Parties aim at overthrowing Republika Srpska

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and SNSD party president Milorad Dodik said in Belgrade that the SDA party declaration was anti-Serb and anti-Dayton and rejected it as such.

Dodik said this after meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, the SDA declaration is not an internal document of one party, but a generally accepted document of Bosniak parties aimed at overthrowing Republika Srpska.

“We understand that and we will be trying to build a common consensus in the Republika Srpska so that we can respond to that document,” Dodik said.

He added that the goal of Bosniak political parties is to have no Republika Srpska and Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“We need to preserve stability and peace, return to dialogue – this is not in dispute. We need to go back to the Dayton Agreement, which implies that the SDA, as the most important political party among Bosniaks, must withdraw all these documents,” the SNSD president said.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he would not comment specifically on the SDA declaration, noting that sufficient comment was that all representatives of RS-based political parties unanimously opposed the document.

“We call on President Dodik and President Cvijanovic, as well as all these RS people, to show full restraint, not to react sharply, to act in the interests of the RS, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. We should do our utmost to preserve peace and stability. Any conflict would mean an economic collapse and an economic end for all of us, the end of a good future for all of us,” Vucic said.

According to him, Serbia’s position towards Bosnia and Herzegovina is unchanged, Oslobodnjenje newspapers reports.
