mineElektroprivreda BiH gave mining machinery with the value of 21 million BAM to the coal mine in Kakanj, with which excavations will be easier and it will be safer for the miners in the pit Begici – Bistrani.

The ceremony of putting the equipment into operation was attended by numerous delegations from BiH, as well as supplier of self-propelled hydraulic shoring from the Polish firm Becker-WarkopSp. The machinery was put into trial operation on the 14th of February, and on the day before the Independence Day of BiH, it was officially put into operation.

The director of the mine in Kakanj Kasim Alajbegovic said that with this equipment, Kakanj received two wide front caves with which the safety of miners got increased.

Executive Director of Elektroprivreda Nevad Ikanovic said that the aim of the equipment that was handed over is to increase safety and humanization of miners.

„What we see today is a mining life where you rejoice today, morn tomorrow and it goes like that for the rest of your life. We were looking forward to the release of this equipment, and then there was an accident on the separation and a landslide. This equipment will aim to increase the security, humanization, and then increase production, which will allow the economic safety of mines in Kakanj,” stated Ikanovic.

In September 2016 was signed the Agreement on the procurement of the transport system, diesel locomotives with the bottom rail length of 1,500 meters. The price of the transport system amounted to 2.73 million BAM, and with it, around 2,500 tons of mining equipment got delivered to pit Begovici.

The equipment can dig up and transport large quantities of coal daily, which the mines in Kakanj need, but the maximum utilization of machines is being slowed down by the truck transportation.

With a symbolic handing over of the remote device of automated equipment to the Director of RMU Kakanj Kasim Alajbegovic, the Director General of Elektroprivreda Bajazid Jasarevic has officially ended the trial period of the machine.
