The Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees of the Entity of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), Edin Ramic, is visiting the Bosnian diaspora in Switzerland.
During the visit, it is planned to meet with representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) whose members are from BiH, and who reside in exile in several cities, in Zurich, Lausanne, and Basel. The visit is organized by members of the “Strength of the Homeland” movement from Switzerland.
The first meeting was held in Lausanne, where, together withMinister Ramic, representatives of pro-Bosnian parties from the Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Vojin Mijatovic, Camil Durakovic, Mirsad Duratovic, and Sevlid Hurtic, also spoke.
“We were in Austria, we are now in Switzerland, and we are already preparing other countries as well. With our arrival, we open up new opportunities and possibilities for people who live here and also express interest in certain activities in BiH. I present the work of the ministry where we offer a chance to cooperate through partnership on the projects we implement. Some of the projects have already been successful in several returnee communities and are the result of similar cooperation. We are aware that it is not enough, we must and should all do more, there is a huge potential in joining the resources of BiH institutions and enterprising people who intend to invest in places where they left. We are motivated by the people we meet here because they have kept the emotion and desire to help the homeland, ” mentioned Ramic.
Mijatovic is optimistic about the joint presentation and gathering around the third block.
“This is not a project of one national community. We are all citizens of BiH and we behave with full respect. Our performance and goals are greater than patriotic interest, whoever says that this is not good is lying to you. We will show that we can represent our homeland with dignity and that is our ultimate goal, “Mijatovic emphasized.
