“Our intention is to secure this event very well, and I hope everything will be good,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska Dragan Lukač, highlighting that they are cooperating with the Organizational Committee of that gathering and the Mufti Osman Kozlić, so that everything would be just about right.

At the time of the opening, on May 7, the center of Banja Luka will be closed for traffic and everyone entering the area will be controlled.

Speaking of the announcements of opposition and authorities in the RS that a protest, i.e. a meeting, will be held in Banja Luka with different messages, Lukač said that the police received two requests for organization of two meetings on May 14 and that the eventual prohibition will be a subject of future assessments.

Lukač said that assessments will be made about the number of police officers who will be engaged in these events, depending on the number of people and the intentions underlying their arrival.

“I would not recommend the arrival to Banja Luka with bad intentions to anyone, because we will not allow anything bad to happen, that someone destructs the city, causes certain conflicts and so on. Everyone coming with such intentions will be punished, and everyone who comes to express their opinion have the right to do so and we will support that,” Lukač said.

Lukač added that the City Administration gives the permit for occupying public area.
