The town on the river Neretva is the only town in the region on this list. The world media writes about how it was named after the Old Bridge and why it should be visited.

“Most people come to Mostar on a one day trip from Dubrovnik, Split or Sarajevo and you can also stay overnight cheaply.” – was written, among other things, about Mostar.

Besides Mostar, there are other world interesting and cost-effective destinations like Aït Benhaddou in Morocco on the first place and Ios – Chora in Greece on the third place. The fourth place belongs to Merzouga in Morocco while the fifth place is reserved for Bhaktpur in Nepal.

The sixth place belongs to another place in Greece – Megalo Papigo, the seventh to Sucre, a town in Bolivia, the eight to Pingyao in China while the last town on the list is also a  Chinese town, Yangshuo.
