Mostar’s summer days, which this year will also be marked by tens of cultural and entertainment events, opened tonight with the concert “Dalmatia in Mostar”, which marks the 134th birthday of Croatian music in Mostar.

The program of the concert, which was held on the plateau of the Croatian House of Herceg Stjepan Kosača, featured the works of Dalmatian singers and songwriters: Vinko Coca, Harij Rončević, Vica Vukov, Oliver Dragojević, Zorica Kondža, Tedi Spalat, conducted by maestro Damir Bunoza.

Josip Aničić, Ivan Sušac and Josipa Medić performed as soloists, and the guests of the concert were Klapa Trebižat and Klapa Belcanto.

“This is a new event in Mostar, and it came from the idea of giving culture an added value and gathering all the representatives of culture in the city in one place, i.e. under one ‘cap’,” said Mostar Mayor Mario Kordić before the opening of the Mostar Summer Days which will be held for the next three months.

On this occasion, Kordić wished all the guests and citizens who will spend this summer in Mostar a pleasant gathering, both tonight and for the next three months, emphasizing that with this event, he also wants to send images from the City that it is a capital, primarily of culture.

In the next three months, a series of cultural events will be held in the City on the Neretva, some of which are traditional and have been held for decades, while some will become so.
