Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki said that the relations of BiH and Macedonia are very good, but that in the next period they’ll work on improving the economic cooperation.

”BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Zlatko Lagumdžija and I agreed that both countries have excellent political relations and that we need to work more on economic relations and regional cooperation. Those are our priorities, and our aim is to become a part of the European integration processes. At the economical plan our priority is building the infrastructure, whose lack represents a serious obstacle is increasing the trade between two countries. That’s why we need to concentrate on building the infrastructure. Our business communities know each other  and I think it is a good basis for reaching good results in the field of economy in the period to come”, said Poposki in an interview to Dnevni Avaz.

He added that every step of any country of the Balkans towards the EU and NATO has a positive effect on every country of the region.

” I think we’ve passed the phase when we had cooperation for the sake of cooperation. Now, the essence has become much more important, we must make steps towards more concrete cooperation, which we lacked so far. Concerning the fact that we all live in small countries, we do have an interest to cooperate”, said Poposki.
