Natural Size Mammoth Replica Exhibited in the ZOO Center

Mammoth avaz.baA replica of a mammoth in natural size is exposed in the Sarajevo zoo. Four meters high and five meters long mammoth was made by sculptors.

Administrator of the Pioneer Valley (ZOO) Esad Tajić told that this project showed how many things can be done with small funds.

“We opted for a mammoth because the planet is threatened and disasters occur every day. The flora and fauna are endangered, and there are nearly 250 endangered animal species in Bosnia and Herzegovina, out of which one disappears each year. Mammoths are extinct, and they were the inhabitants of this planet”, said Tajić.

He added that the replica of the mammoth is a gift to the citizens, especially the younger population.

“This is only one reconstruction, and we will continue to do reconstructions of animals from the Ice Age”, concluded the manager Tajić.

Mammoth is made in natural size and exposed in the central part of the Pioneer Valley, next to the mushroom.
