neumAnother successful privatization story is getting realized in our country. The company “A3” from Siroki Brijeg is working on expanding the “Suncana obala” hotel in Neum as the main contractor. The hotel was privatized in 2014 by the company “Orka” from Neum, which is bounded by contract to invest 6,111,850.00 BAM in the next three years, considering that it was obliged to pay 975,000, 00 BAM within 45 days after signing the contract.

According to the Contract, the buyer is obliged to restore, modernize and build a hotel with all the facilities at the level of 4 star hotel with 200 beds.

The works are in full swing. Tihomir Putica, one of the owners of the future hotel said that they are working on the expansion of the capacity of the hotel.

“Future hotel will have 130 rooms and 260 beds, which will be 100 beds more than before the privatization,” says Putica, adding that retail spaces will be placed on the ground floor and first floor of the hotel.

The hotel will have a pool, a restaurant with 300 seats, and other facilities that are needed for comfortable stay of tourists.

Value of the investment is around 8 million BAM. They are a little late with the renovation, said Putica, and the works will be completed in 2017.

Besides the renovation of the hotel, they also plan arrangement of the beach, and when everything is finalized, employment of 30 workers.
