Government of the Canton Sarajevo (CS) confirmed the list of employers who meet the requirements for participation in the Public works program 2016.
After a public invitation for projects application in the areas of environmental planning, construction and rehabilitation of infrastructure, social protection, culture of tourism, fair events, a total of 33 employers were selected. In the next two months, 450 unemployed persons that are registered as unemployed in CS will be hired on theses and similar jobs.
Public works program is implemented within the Program of measures for stimulating job creation and the maintenance of higher rates of employment in the CS in 2016. A total of 694.413 BAM were allocated for this, so that the Employment Service of CS will refund the funds to the employers in the monthly amount of 771 BAM per person engaged, so the individual monthly fee for the work under this program is 600 BAM.
Besides arrangement and cleaning of green areas, public markets and streets, rehabilitation of tram tracks, infrastructure works, arrangement of schoolyards and monumental complexes, under this program will be also engaged persons for helping paraplegics at home, in soup kitchens, helping other people with disabilities etc.
According to the project applications, this kind of engagement is planned for the needs of the Sarajevo Film Festival, JU MESS, the Foundation Sarajevo Navigator for tourism patrol, the Summer market in Bascarsija and the Sarajevo Holiday Market.
