Yesterday, 28 April, a press conference was held on the occasion of the premiere of the play ‘Ja, mahalac’. The pre-premiere will be held on 3 May at 8 p.m. in Chamber Theatre 55, while the premiere will be held one day after, at 8 p.m.
Team of the play presented themselves to the press and they all expressed their hope that the play will at least repeat the success of the play ‘Ja, mahaluša’ which was seen by 50 000 people. One of producers of ‘Ja, mahalac’ Fahrudin Kučuk from the Association for Affirmation of Cultural Values ‘Filter’ notes that ‘Ja, Mahaluša’ team has been expanded with the actor Dragan Marinković Maca.
Producers Anila Gajević said that Marinković is an excellent actor and showman widely recognised, and added that he’s great in interacting with the audience who’ll enjoy the one hour and twenty minute play.
The play will also be shown in Serbia and Croatia, and in Zenica, Tuzla and Bihać. General sponsor is Stock company.
The author of the play ‘Ja, mahaluša’ and ‘Ja, mahalac’ Indira Kučuk-Sorguč noted that Marinković read the text amazingly well and adapted it to his temperament.
The play is both tragic and comic, and ‘mahalac’ (gossip-guy) sees life from both the aspect of a man and of a woman, and the theme of the play is male-female relations.
Marinković said that the text is amazing and it will bring both tears and fun and laughter, because these are the times everyone needs laughter.
Director of the play is Mirela Trepanić, scene and costumes were done by Marijela Margeta Hašimbegović, and the organiser is Igor Drnda.
