New rotation of Aviation Detachment, unchanged dedication!

On 20 January 2025, the Hungarian crew of EUFOR Aviation Detachment (AvDet) completed their last duty in Bosnia and Herzegovina and handed over the mission’s tactical air transportation and air medical evacuation tasks to the incoming Romanian team with a solemn ceremony.

Commander of EUFOR Major General László Sticz congratulated the outgoing team and AvDet Commander Lieutenant Colonel Miklós Könczöl on their successful mission where not only they completed their task with the highest level of professionalism, but they also fostered trust and confidence among the local communities and strengthened the acceptance of EUFOR mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina by saving tourists from top of a mountain and a child from landslide and training together with a local mountain rescue team.

COM EUFOR MG Sticz warned the incoming team and AvDet Commander Colonel Razvan Roşca that the challenges ahead are many, but so are the opportunities to make a meaningful impact and wished them a safe and successful mission.
