The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina is scheduled to consider the request of delegate Marina Pendeš (HDZ BiH) to consider the Draft Law on Amendments to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina under an urgent procedure at its session scheduled for April 24.

The proposed amendments to the Election Law of BiH were on the agenda of the emergency session of the House of Peoples of the state parliament, which was scheduled to be held on April 4, but was canceled due to a lack of quorum.

Delegates from the Bosniak People’s Club left the session, who, together with several other opposition delegates, pointed out, at the very beginning of the session, what they alleged was a violation of the Rules of Procedure.

They demanded that the previously canceled emergency session, which was abandoned by three SNSD delegates and whose agenda included proposals for decisions on the dismissal of a member of the Collegium of the House of Peoples, Nikola Špirić, and ministers Staša Košarac and Srđan Amidžić, be resumed and completed first, and that a new session of the House of Peoples begin only after that.

These two items – the Proposal for a Decision on the Dismissal of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Staša Košarac, and the Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH, Srđan Amidžić, and the Proposal for a Decision on the Dismissal of the Chairman/First Deputy Chairman/Second Deputy Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Nikola Špirić, proposed by the delegates to the House of Peoples: Nenad Vuković, Želimir Nešković, Ilija Cvitanović, Zlatko Miletić, and Kemal Ademović, are positioned as the last two items (55th and 56th) of the proposed agenda for the session scheduled for April 24.

At that session, the House of Peoples should consider a dozen draft laws, a number of reports, several decisions, and the agenda should also include giving consent for the ratification of several international agreements, Fena writes.
