Number of Slaughtered Cattle decreased by 20 Percent in BiH

During the 2018 year, the number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 18,61% and of pigs by 17,21%, while the number of slaughtered sheep increased by 13,96% and of poultry by 3,12% in relation with the period of 2017.

According to data from BiH Agency for Statistics, the net weight of slaughtered cattle decreased by 25,67% and of slaughtered pigs by 16,82%, while the net weight of slaughtered sheep increased by 12,73% and of slaughtered poultry by 3,47% in relation with the period of 2017.

In December 2018 the number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 16,53% and pigs by 16,74%, while the number of slaughtered sheep increased by 85,88% and poultry by 4,11% in relation with the same period of 2017.

The net weight of slaughtered cattle decreased by 12,13% and of slaughtered pigs by 22,17%, while the net weight of slaughtered sheep increased by 53,19% and of slaughtered poultry by 10,71% in relation with the same period of 2017.

In December of 2018 the total amount of collected cow’s milk decreased by 1,8% in relation to the same period of 2017. Production of drinking milk increased by 1,8%, acidified milk by 23,8%, butter and other yellow fat products by 32,0% and cow’s cheese by 8,0%, while the production of cream decreased by 6,5% in relation with the same period of 2017.

The total amount of milk fat decreased by 0,7%, while the total amount of milk protein increased by 0,3% in relation to the same period of 2017.
