Numerous tourists who came to Sarajevo to celebrate the New Year holidays were scammed for accommodation.
They booked a vacation in Sarajevo through the Booking.com website, which was offered by a certain David Perić.
The ad says that the NOA apartments are located at the address of Josip Štadler, in Stari Grad. However, upon arriving at the place, the tourists who booked the accommodation realized that these apartments do not exist.
Several of them reported the case to the nearby police station in Logavina Street, it was confirmed to Klix.ba.
There are more than 20 photos on the ad that show how the apartment has a swimming pool, jacuzzi and numerous other facilities.
The creator of the ad says that the apartments are only a seven-minute walk from Sebilj. It can be seen that there are 137 reviews from many countries around the world – Denmark, Turkey, Italy, Canada…
The oldest review dates back to October 20 of this year, which shows that the creator collected all 137 reviews in two months and 10 days. Most of them are positive, and those that are negative refer only to small things, such as the driver being late to pick up guests at the airport, etc.
Most of the guests who were cheated yesterday traveled the long way to Sarajevo. In many cases, they are citizens of other countries, Klix.ba writes.
