One Foreign National arrested for Suspicion of Smuggling Ten Persons

A citizen of Afghanistan has been deprived of liberty in the area of Zvornik, as he is suspected to have smuggled ten persons, including one minor child. The aforementioned suspect and the smuggled persons are all citizens of Afghanistan.

The smuggled illegal migrants were detected by the officers of the Border Police when they crossed the river border on the Drina River in a rubber boat. The smuggling of these persons, including one child, put the lives of these persons at risk. All the aforementioned persons have been detained pending further procedure.

The person suspected of the criminal offense of Smuggling of Migrants, who is also a citizen of Afghanistan, will be handed over to the Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in charge of the case, who will subsequently question the suspect and make a decision regarding further activities in this case.
