One Million Bottles were collected at Recycling Machines in Sarajevo

The Sarajevo-based company “Rad” announced that thanks to recycling machines installed at several locations in Sarajevo Canton, one million packaging units were collected in one year.

They noted that the project “Recyclers in Bosnia and Herzegovina” has been going on for exactly one year. Earlier this week, Lamija Đozo and her friend put the millionth bottle into the recycling machine located in Vogošća.

In “Rado”, they emphasized that the number of collected packaging is certainly higher because many citizens throw in packaging without choosing a benefit. This is why the company is grateful to the citizens for recognizing the importance of this project.
As they pointed out, in more than 50 percent of cases, the chosen option when putting packaging into the recycling machine was a donation to the Pomozi.ba charity.

We remind you that the first recycling machine in Sarajevo Canton was installed in mid-August 2022 in front of the House of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (the former House of the Army). In addition to the fact that recycling is possible to donate, it is also possible to realize some benefits, such as free parking.
