The defendant Vinko Milošević (1964) is charged with smuggling around half a ton of the narcotic drug – marijuana “skunk”.

A Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has filed an indictment against Vinko Milošević, aka “Bugar”, born on 15 January 1960, residing at Gabela near Čapljina, a citizen of BiH and the Republic of Croatia, currently in custody in Metković.

The defendant is charged with becoming a member of an organized group of people in the course of 2019 and connecting with persons from the territory of Montenegro and Croatia to procure, store and smuggle narcotic drug marijuana – “skunk” from Montenegro through BiH and further to Croatia and the EU.

The narcotic drugs in the quantity of about 500 kilograms, the value of which in the illegal drug market reaches the amount of tens of thousands of BAM and which was transported to the defendant on several occasions, were hidden, stored and repacked by the defendant in Gabela and further smuggled toward Croatia and EU countries by him.

In a coordinated international operation codenamed “Gabela”, which involved the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and SIPA, about 240 kilograms of narcotic drugs were found and seized in houses and buildings used by the defendant.

The defendant is charged that he, as a member of an organized group of people, held substances that have been declared narcotic drugs by regulations, for the purpose of their international sale, and thus committed the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH also sent a motion to the Court of BiH to extend the custody for the defendant until the first-instance judgment was pronounced, because of the risk of flight and the risk that his detention could interfere with the investigation, that he could conceal evidence, influence witnesses or accomplices, repeat the criminal offence or complete the one he started.

The indictment and the motion for extension of custody were sent to the Court of BiH.
