received_1175127092538245Official opening of Ferhat Pasha’s Mosque in Banja Luka went without a problem, confirmed the Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska Dragan Lukač while addressing the media after the ceremony.

“So far, everything is implemented very well. The Ministry of Internal Affairs successfully completed this task. I hope it will be so until the very end, that we will safely escort those who came to Banja Luka, so that they have a safe return home as they had a safe stay in Banja Luka,” Lukač said.

According to Lukač, Banja Luka yesterday sent a message to the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina that this city is ready for peace and coexistence and that it is an open city where everyone can come and feel safe.

“Special challenge for the MIA was the arrival of a large number of people, vehicles, the delegation led by the Prime Minister Davutoglu, and our national delegation from BiH. I believe that everyone deserves great attention, which we indeed offered, and we had to ensure their movement and stay in Banja Luka from both intelligence and safety police aspect,” Lukač said.

When asked whether there were any incidents, Lukač answered that there were no incidents.
“I must congratulate the members of MIA for the effort they invested so that everything goes safe today,” said Lukač yesterday.
Lukač said that around 120 buses and several hundreds of private vehicles arrived in Banja Luka yesterday and, according to estimations, between six and eight thousand people attended the opening of the mosque.
