What is the Outcome of the latest Meeting of Coalition Leaders?

20161128162230_400052Leaders of ruling parties in FBiH stated after yesterday’s meeting that political representatives on the level of FBiH must include the necessary reforms in the agenda of the Government of FBiH and the Parliament of FBiH.

“I believe we will be able to do that by the end of the year, starting from the budget, the package of reform activities which there are almost 35, to those solutions like law on forests, veterans and games of chance,” said the President of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović.

In addition, the leaders discussed the issues that burden the coalition and they agreed on launching an investment swing in order to remove the barriers and invite investors to the country.

“I don’t see a single reason why BiH would not be a major construction site, when it comes to infrastructure,” Čović said.

Čović said that he would not mind having a meeting with Radončić and Izetbegović every day if that would contribute to the development of plans pertinent to the Euro-Atlantic path of BiH.

Furthermore, Čović said that the coalition has a clear and harmonized attitude which should be conveyed to the associates that the sessions of authority bodies in FBiH might be expected and that it is necessary to strengthen trust within the coalition.

President of SBB Fahrudin Radončić said that meetings with Čović and Izetbegović are not difficult, dramatic and unproductive, given that things in FBiH follow their path.

President of SDA Bakir Izetbegović said that they did not discuss Stolac, but that SDA thinks that CIK assumed the right to do what voters and court are supposed to do, i.e. that the Central Election Commission assumed the right to elect the mayor.

Commenting on issues within the party, Izetbegović said that things like that happen and that they will be solved. Regarding the coalition with SBB, he said that he does not like the term “coalition out of necessity” and that relations between SDA and SBB are generally not bad.
