Owner of the ”ZOO Centre” in Sarajevo Arman Akšamović has donated 20 000 BAM to Institution for Mentally Disabled Persons ”Drin” in Fojnica.
Akšamović gave the full amount of damages obtained in civil action to charity.
Civil action case Akšamović v. Veterinary Faculty of Sarajevo, where the Veterinary Faculty performed surgery on Akšamović’s two female bulldogs that were damaged and thus prevented from competing, lasted for six years.
After meeting with the mentally challenged, Akšamović decided to give the money to them.
There are 520 mentally challenged persons in the Institution for Mentally Disabled Persons ”Drin”.
Akšamović said ” Anyone who visits ”Drin” and sees those children will certainly donate some money depending on one’s own ability, not just to ”Drin” but to any institution that takes care of the handicapped and the mentally challenged.
