The Palestine Football Association announced that a total of 85 athletes from this country, including as many as 55 football players, were killed within the last two months.

It is the epilogue of Israeli attacks on Gaza between October 7thand December 6th, according to a report by the Palestine Football Association published on the official website (PFA). The roof house of football there emphasized the deep impact of the war on the entire sports community.

55 football players and 30 players of other sports are among the victims. Also, it is stated that the Israeli occupation forces targeted Palestinian athletes and sports facilities, football players, as well as presidents of clubs and associations.

Of the 55 football players killed, 37 were seniors and 18 were children and teenagers from youth teams. Nine sports fields were destroyed, five in Gaza and four in the West Bank.

Palestinian sport, it is quite clear, will never be the same again. Apart from the destruction of crucial infrastructure, recovery after the death of so many potential top athletes will be almost impossible, Klix.ba reports.
