The regional festival of the communication industry ‘Weekend Media Festival’ will be held from 19 to 22 September in Rovinj as part of the rich program of lectures and presentations planned and the panel discussion ‘Sarajevo 2014-Opportunity of the Century’.
On Friday, 20 September from 12:30 to 14:00, they will speak about the significant events and annual activities that will take place in Sarajevo in 2014 (100 years since the Sarajevo assassination and the beginning of the First World War, 30 years since the XIV Winter Olympic Games, 20 years since the start of the Sarajevo Film Festival, the opening of the Sarajevo Vijećnica in 2014 with a concert by the Vienna Philharmonic, and activities that are being realized in cooperation with the Foundation ‘Sarajevo Heart of Europe’).
One of the topics of discussion will be why Sarajevo 2014 for the communication industry can be an ‘opportunity of the century’, and how generally significant events can be used for the promotion of destinations, attracting media attention, sponsors and investors.
