Photo exhibition “Palestinian story” by David Verberckt, was opened at Hanikah of Gazi Husrev-Bey’s Medresa in Sarajevo.
The exhibition, organized as part of the “Module Memory”, represents a kind of “window into the evolution of” a number of refugee camps established on the territory of Palestine in 1948, and witnesses the life and the harsh reality faced by four generations of Palestinians.
It is a “reportage” resulted from two author’s long stays in Palestine in 1992 and 1993, and a few visits between July 2013 and May 2014.
Verberckt notes that the Palestinian people are living in refugee limbo for 65 years, teasing their history and stories of time that are yet to come.
Photo exhibition “Palestinian story” was organized as part of the 20th edition of the cultural program of International Theatre Festival MESS module memory, held from 4th of April to 12th of May in Sarajevo.
Otherwise, this year’s program was opened with exhibition by the same author, David Verberckt, called “Temporary Permanence” in Sarajevo War Theater (SARTR).
Art enthusiasts can visit the exhibition of the Palestinian story every day until 9th of May, until 12 to o’clock.
