Pliva and Janj Have Become European Top Destinations

The rivers Pliva and Janj in municipality Šipovo have become top European destinations for fly-fishing, thanks to the investments of Banja Luka-based Company LTG, which was granted a concession to parts of these rivers.

Member of the local sport fishing company Mladen Jandrić confirmed this for “Nezavisne Novine”, and said that Pliva and Janj are becoming more attractive for visitors. He said that, thanks to Goran Talić, the owner of LTG, the local citizens who live near the river would benefit greatly.

He added that LTG Company has invested large funds in Šipovo.

“Talić protected the rivers and they are now full of fish. The difference between the previous state and what it is now is like heaven and earth. Previously, there was a dearth of fish here, and now there is an abundance of ponds, full of trout and grayling. This is an open pond and from that part of Pliva and Janja other parts of the river would be filled’’, said Jandrić.

Jandrić said that Pliva and Janj are now rivers that leave an impression on people.

LTG Company has bought land near the river Pliva for 100.000 KM, where bungalows and other facilities were built, and they were built on the basis of urban conditions of Šipovo municipality.
