vukoje vinaAt a regional conference ‘’Tourist Market of Southeast Europe-New Development Opportunities’’ that was held in Belgrade, the Trebinje “Podrumi Vukoje 1982” were assessed as the best winery in Southeast Europe, and won an award for the best winery in this part of Europe.

“It is an honor for us to be next to wineries from this region, which have excellent wines. The awards we won in Croatia, Serbia, BiH, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Czech Republic certainly resulted in our wine being labeled the best’’, said the Director of the winery Radovan Vukoje.

He said that in the last period world-renowned journalists placed this winery in their tourist, wine and food guides. Thus, this wine is found in the book ‘’Wine Grapes’’ by author Jancis Robinson.

“A few days ago our ‘Carsko’ wine got the best grades, the best grades ever from this part of Europe, which influenced the high recognition we got today and to officially become the best winery in Southeast Europe.

According to him, this award is not only for the winery, but for Trebinje, Herzegovina, RS and BIH, and it is an incentive to continue to engage in winery, gastronomy and tourism. He said that the degree of culture of one country is measured by the degree of development of its wine development, so this reward would promote not only his winery, but also Trebinje and BiH.

Wine enthusiasts in Trebinje can soon expect a wine gallery of the winery called ‘Vukoje”, which can hold 500 visitors.
