Members of the Traffic Unit of the Sarajevo Canton Police Administration confiscated the car of a 22-year-old man who was driving through the city center at 140 kilometers per hour, and then posted a video of the driving on social networks.

“Working on clarifying and documenting this violation, police officers of the Traffic Unit of the Sarajevo Canton Police Directorate identified a driver suspected of violating an enormous speeding violation in Sarajevo, Obala Kulina bana Street, and he was invited to the official premises to make a statement.

“Measures prescribed by law will be taken against him. It is about  a person with K.M . initials from Sarajevo,” the CS Ministry of the Interior said.

According to them, with the consent of the duty judge for misdemeanors of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, a “Opel Astra” vehicle was temporarily confiscated.

“Within the legally prescribed deadline, the Misdemeanor Department of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo will be asked to initiate misdemeanor proceedings against K. M. for violations of Articles 44 and 51 of the Law on Fundamentals of Road Traffic Safety in BiH,” the Cantonal Ministry of Interior said.
