The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) informed the public about how the Polish airline LOT Polish Airlines will maintain its route to Sarajevo.

According to information from Poland, LOT will maintain the Warsaw – Sarajevo route until January 12th, 2025. After that, there will be a short break from January 13th to February 22nd.

They also stated that after that period the line should be re-established.

“During autumn and winter, flights will be less frequent, and daily flights will resume at the beginning of April 2025. All flights are planned for the Embraer 195 aircraft, which has 112 seats,” they explained.

Namely, the line Sarajevo – Warsaw was established in May 2022 as a result of the intensive cooperation of Sarajevo International Airport with USAID’s Sustainable Tourism Development Project in BiH (Tourism), as part of which an innovative incentive scheme was successfully launched for airlines considering the introduction of new or expansion and intensification of existing flights to Sarajevo International Airport.

Lot Polish Airlines was founded in 1928 and is one of the oldest airlines in the world. They were declared the airline with the fastest development in Europe, and since 2016 the company has been implementing a profitable growth strategy that predicts an increase in the number of passengers.

In 2019, almost 12 million passengers used this airline’s services.
