In the past 24 hours, 22 babies were born in Banja Luka, which is twice as much as the daily average.

At the University Clinical Center, 22 babies were born – 11 boys and 11 girls, according to service information for the city of Banja Luka.

Between June 10 and 11, 22 babies were born, which is also the largest number of babies born in one day since the beginning of the year in the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics of the University Clinical Center, Avaz news portal reports.

From the beginning of the year to the middle of July, 1,629 babies were born in the maternity ward, Srna news agency reports.

On average, eight to ten babies are born in this clinic on a daily basis, and during the 1990s, about 20 babies were born daily.

Last week, the municipality of Rogatica also stated that as of January 1, this municipality is richer by 60 newborns, which is a very important and encouraging fact, since 66 babies were born during the whole of 2019.
