Presidency Members met with high Delegation from Sweden

Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik and Zeljko Komšsic received today a delegation of the Kingdom of Sweden, which includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Ann Linde, the Minister of the Interior Mikael Damberg and Special Envoy against Organized Crime Hakan Jevrell.

They discussed further strengthening co-operation between the two countries, development projects and progress in reforms on the road to the EU. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Sweden to BiH, Johanna Stromquist, Vijesti.ba news portal states.

The Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bisera Turkovic hosted a working delegation and stated that thee Kingdom of Sweden is an advocate of the enlargement of the European Union to the Western Balkans and strongly supports BiH on its path to European integration.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH also talked with the guests from Sweden about the experiences related to the work of the OSCE in BiH, considering that the Kingdom of Sweden is taking over the chairmanship of the OSCE, Klix.ba news portal reports.

As she said, the OSCE is an organization that has given great importance and contribution in BiH. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden, Ann Linde, expressed her satisfaction with the visit to BiH, saying that the BiH diaspora in Sweden has contributed a lot in many sectors of Swedish society.

“Sweden is a major donor to BiH, especially in the area of ​​reforms leading to EU candidate status. But even before that status is gained, reforms backed by the Swedish government already ensure a better country for all citizens.

“I am glad to welcome the collective commitment of BiH ‘s political leaders in European integration,” Linde said.
